I got dressed and then realized I had chosen all new items for this outfit, except the bag and jewelry. I really like my new things I’ve bought this year, and should probably edit my closet with an eye to these new items as a standard!

- Sundry olive chinos with animal print side stripe
- Karen Kane red tie-front top
- Allsaints black gladiator sandals (super comfortable even to run to the car when it started raining!)
- Kendall & Kylie black backpack
- ring from a local boutique many years ago
- earrings from a pop up independent design shop/art gallery in Santa Fe a couple of years ago

Worn for an outdoor coffee date with a friend to talk art and planning. Nice to have an in person social moment!

The ring is an orthoceras fossil — here’s a closeup. I thought it was cool, I love long rings, black and white were a slam dunk with my wardrobe. It was surprisingly inexpensive too. I think there are a bunch on Etsy.

It was definitely a treat to meet for coffee, outdoors on a breezy day. We have both been very isolated over the last year and we are both half-vaccinated. Outdoors with lots of air movement feels pretty safe and seems to not be a problem according to the CDC. We wrapped up just as the sky clouded over, and it rained on me a little as I ran back to my car.

Then the temperature dropped 20 degrees in the following two hours! I had to close the windows at home and change into a hoodie! Welcome to spring.
