WIW: Floral sweater and bootcuts

I had to go to a work presentation this morning and jeans were fine, but my only "dressy" jeans are these old Joe's bootcuts. Worn with Halogen floral sweater and Ugg clog boots (don't have many boots with heels high enough for these jeans). This isn't a particularly "me" look although I love the sweater - but I enjoyed wearing it and felt appropriate for the occasion.

Hey! I'm wearing something eerily similar today Una: same floral sweater, blue flared jeans, black pumps.

Oh yeah, I have that sweater, too. I think the key to wearing it with dark jeans is to have a little white or bright peeking out at the bottom. Like your white belt, Una. Last time I did it was a little hot pink t shirt. Your jeans were light enough not to create the giant blue ink blot I once had, Aida.

Ummlila I hear you on the wall-of-blue. I plan to pair these with my BF jeans (which have a lot of variance in the wash) and with black or other non-blue bottoms. Luckily for me, I have no "dark wash denim" in blue so I can easily avoid the blue ink blot look!

Wow, that is eerie. A YLF occult thing..... but both you and Aida look fantastic. It may not feel "you," Una, but it looks fantastic. So I don't think it can be that far off the "you" who is "you." If "you" know what "I" mean.

Ha, I am pretty sure I've worn mine with bootcuts too but didn't get a picture. (Actually, if we want to get really creepy, I also have some dark wash joes bootcuts that are too long for everything but my highest booties. I don't wear them too often bc of the shoe thing... But now I kind of want to do it just to be your Super Creepy Twin. Lol.)

I wouldn't normally have put you and a floral sweater together, Una, but you've made it you own with the rest of your look. Throwing an occasional floral into your look will keep everyone on their toes, and that's a good thing, right?

I checked out the sweater on-line, it's available in cream and navy but only available in XL (US16). Which is probably just as well, because we're coming into a hot, hot summer here.

I like the way you've switched things around with this outfit. I'm a very occasional floral wearer, and only with the 'right' floral. This one is certainly the right one for you. A really nice look and it is good to see you in something that is uncharacteristic for you.
