WIW: First White Jeans of Spring

Today was an actual going out day, for the first time in two months. I took my daughter to a (non-essential) follow-up doctor's appointment, and my, how things have changed! We phoned when we arrived in the parking lot. They called back to tell us when to approach the entryway. In the vestibule, we were asked a long list of screening questions and had our temps taken. We were led directly into an exam room so as to avoid contact with anyone other than one staff member. After we saw the doctor, that same staff member led us out. I wonder if this will be the way things are in the future?

Anyway, today's outfit is the first white jeans of the warm weather season. I'm actually kind of rigid about that and don't wear white pants in cooler weather. It just seems sort of seasonally confused to me, no matter what the calendar itself says.

Jeans - Curve Appeal (TJ Maxx)
Shoes - Comfortiva (Zappos)
Watch - Garmin Forerunner 35 (Definitely not really suited for everyday wear except for very sporty outfits. They have some options now that look great with dressier outfits. I may upgrade at some point.)
Hair - a bit overdue for a trim, but salons can open for appointments only on Monday, and I have an appointment for Wednesday!

That's one great outfit Becky! Love the top and the jeans. And we're white Garmin twins, though I think mine is a later model, with a round watch face.
I took my girls to get our flu shots the other day and were also met with temp checks. Only the individual at the door was wearing a mask though, but then they are not recommended here ( no community transmission for ages in our state of Australia , no one with corona left in hospital).
However I had a corona test myself (negative, just hayfever like I was 99 sure it was) and the procedure there was very similar to yours, with everyone in PPE, of course)

You look wonderful. The top looks like a summer day. The car is the new waiting room where I live. My sister asked “what if you don’t have a car?”. She lives in a big city where most take public transportation. I suppose one would just have to wait outside and keep a 6 foot distance.

I really appreciate this community you've created and your personal involvement in it. Yes, the specs are red! I've had a couple of purple frames, but this last time my daughters unanimously voted red in again.

Thanks, slim cat, for the hair validation. I was lucky enough to have had a trim right before the stay at home order for our state, so I have been in pretty good shape throughout up until now.

kellygirl, my discovering white jeans under Angie's tutelage has been a game changer for me. I'm pretty picky about wearing blues with blue denim, but with white, all blues are automatically perfect!

Thanks, Kaelyn. I love the metallic shoes, too. They seem to magically bookend my hair. I duplicated them once, but they are no longer available, so when these wear out, I'll have to find a new standby.

torontogirl, YES! I can't believe I used to resist white bottoms. They seem so crisp and summery and perfect with any color.

Thank you, Joy. I really like this top. It has a subtle paisley print, and I've always been a sucker for paisley and bandana print. My mom says it's because she often wore a red bandana print maternity shirt when she was pregnant with me.

Thank you, Jane. I don't have Angie's superpowers to keep whites clean, so I just have to plan to be extra careful and wash after every wear. So far I've been lucky!

It sounds as if life is going to feel more complicated, at least at first, as we get used to new routines. I guess we *will* get used to them, eventually...

What a cute and fresh outfit this is - and you look fit and trim ! Lucky you Yes, we have the same protocols here in place in Manitoba for interactions with doctors and physiotherapists (these are just the 2 I know ) ...one person doing pretty much everything . Life is weird .

I have that exact garmin watch. Its clean white and black style looks refined with outfits that are white, black and gray (which I wear a lot). I wear it with dresses, suits and silk blouses to important meetings when I want to evoke a chic yet dynamic vibe. The watch looked sporty with your blue top. If you want a more polished look, pair it with a black, white or gray top and it’s suddenly a statement piece.
