Yesterday I showed you that I remade an old tunic into a shirt. Thank you for all the lovely comments on that thread! I've put together my first outfit with this today. I went with the navy in the pattern and built on that. I also pulled out my old plaid coat from the closet because I like the shape of it a lot, and it is adding some structure to the wide pants.
Plaid/tartan shirt (remade by me)
Navy bootleg trousers (Boss, thrifted)
Snakeskin belt in grey and cream
Black shiny Chelsea boots
Navy pearl necklace (thrifted)
Outerwear:
Plaid coat (many years old)
Light blue cashmere scarf (Pure, thrifted)
Cognac leather gloves (unused, but from a thrift shop)
Black and brown leather bag (thrifted)
While writing this I realize that I rely more and more on my thrifted finds. I hope that's a good thing. I always try to add something modern/new to my outfits to avoid going too retro or worse - unfashionable
What do you think? Is the high waisted pant a good look on me, and what about the combination of patterns and colors? Does it work? The coat is old and worn, but is it still ok? I need to remove some pilling on it. I'd love to hear your reactions. Thanks for looking!
