WIW-first (and last) x wearing a skirt this summer

I know this is nothing special, but since it was the only time I sported a skirt this entire summer I thought I would honor it with a WIW.

I picked this up 1/2 off at Target, although one of my goals is not to be lured in by cheap stuff, I happen to love this stripe. I'm just a little sorry I found it so late in the season, but figure I can wear it for an upcoming island vacation, and it should be fine for next summer too, don't you think?

Farewell, sweet summer. How I will miss thee.....

What? With those great legs you've been holding out on us? This is a cute little skirt and it just screams island vacation. Where are the blender drinks? Oh, sorry, back to your outfit. I love the gold sandals and straw tote. Your pink top goes nicely and so would a white tank and denim jacket (which I just discovered is perfect with any printed summer skirt). You look fab. And summer items can be a bit more disposable, so don't feel bad about your purchase--and think how well it will pack!

Claire, you are too cute! You are making me thirsty for Mai Tai's!!! Great idea about the white denim jacket (which I have) and a boat load of other tanks and t's that will give me some mileage out of this next year.

Mo-I would have worn more skirts if I could find them long enough, I lucked out with this one, the perfect length.

This is a fantastic skirt on you! I am with Claire. I want to sip some island libations with you in the sun! You could wear this with so many coloured tops. It's an excellent purchase at twice the price!

Definitely wear it next year. And as often as you can between now and then. Love the idea of seeing it with a denim jacket. A white one would be particularly fun.

The blue in the skirt looks close to Pantone's Moroccan blue for Spring 2013, so I think you will be just fine next year
