WIW: FFBO

I've realized this has become one of my favorite outfits to wear to work. I think it's because I really like this silhouette and I love the colors green and purple. And these shoes bookend my hair pretty well I think. I haven't felt like my outfits have been superb lately, which is why they haven't been showing up here. I recently ordered a few lighter weight summer clothes, so I hopefully they'll work and get me out of funk.

Belt - Ann Taylor
Shoes - Lifestride

I'm up for any comments on how to improve my outfit, get out my funk, or if you just want to tell me I'm awesome.

so awesome!! - green and purple look fabulous on you!! now take that most awesome green dress and do as Caro suggests and see what you can come up with - it's a great spring/summer dress - wide white belt and .........

Aw, we all need to be told now and then that we're awesome. You are also adorable, and your green dress is really pretty on you. I'm intrigued to see where a wide white belt might take you...

I just bought a white belt last week and am having fun seeing how it can work with my outfits.

I'm a fan of the purple and green! And the silhouette. I like this how it is but was thinking a silver belt and/or silver shoes might be fun.

Sometimes, as I'm getting dressed or undressed, I take a few moments and take one item from the ensemble and try is with several other companions. Most often, I try it on, but sometimes I just lay things out on the bed. For example, I tried my cobalt jacket on with 3 different tops today --- 2 were "meh," but one combination will make is way out of the house!

What about lighter or earthier color in the shoes?

I hadn't thought of trying new combinations like that Beth Ann. I have a pair of lighter brown woven heels I've worn with this dress before and I love the way they look.

Sometimes FFBO are really called for. You have a lot on your mind and maybe it's okay to take a break on new combinations for a while! You will get back into it soon.

I like your FFBO, it is the prettiest little green dress. Playing sounds like a good idea, for example, you could try skirtifying the dress by wearing your breton over it.
