@TracyLiz: for me, this is neutrals. Ha! Leopard is one of my go-to neutrals, and white is a back up for me. So, to me, this is an outfit of neutrals because it's not got any colour pow. But, because these are PANTS!*, I feel like I want to keep the rest of the look sort of subdued, so it's not overwhelming, if that makes sense? (This is progress: it's not so far gone in my past that I would've felt I had to have something that was equally loud to keep up with the PANTS!) I think when I get my cut out booties, that's the shoe I'll wear with them the most.
@JulieJohn: I was surprised at how drawn I was to them in the sping; I'd just about given up on finding a white button front I didn't hate. I love the LOOK of a crisply startched button front, but every time I've tried to incorporate one, I get really frustrated by it. This has been a perfect solution for me, and I love the variety of colourways available. However, the downside is that I feel like Express caters to wee people. I don't think I'm a particularly large woman, but going in always makes me feel like the Jolly Green Giantess. (And I love those shoes - surprisingly neutral, too. They end up getting worn when I need something that's not matchy-matchy, but goes, because they go with most anything. Except, apparently, this pair of skinnies. Ha!)
* PANTS! in my boyfriend's terminology: "Most people just wear 'pants.' They're serviceable, but not notable. They're just pants. Those are 'PANTS!' because they are an outfit all on their own." Also falling into the 'PANTS!' category are my snow leopard skinnies and my floral jeans, but, interestingly, not coloured denim.
