We've had some mixed up weather around here which has made for some occasional spring-like dressing. I've been totally unmotivated on the fashion front but have been making an effort to wear some orphans (lilac blazer, long purple sweater and Paul Green sneaks.) I'm also trying to figure out how to best layer my asymmetric ponchos.

Love them all, but especially #4 in all its asymmetric fabness (and colorblocking/bookending) and #5 in its great simplicity and chicness. (Listen to me...throwing around fashion words like "colorblock" and "bookend"...sheesh! If I can talk the talk, maybe, just maybe, I can start to walk the walk?!) Anyway, you look great and your MOTG style is so inspirational!

I agree, #4 is amazing. Love it! You look great in all of them though. One would never guess you haven't been inspired.

Love your poncho vibe here - #4 is really cool; the poncho asymmetry and the shirt asymmetry make it work somewhat better than #6 which is really awesome, but not as awesome as #4.

Kelly, I agree you look terrific in all of these, but #4 is just knock my wooly-socks off great! From this I gather that the asymmetrical poncho works especially well when you use it to colour block, in a fairly neutral outfit that lets its angular simplicity take the stage. Wow wow and wow to that.

Thank you! I’m quite amused that you all like #4. I tucked that one into the mix and it was my fave. I loved how the hemlines played together. I was just messing around and hit on a winner. Glad that you think so too!

@Suz: Thank you. I agree that the poncho works best with neutrals. I’ve tried it with a tee but much prefer it with looser tops--knit and woven.

Well... I had to log in to see that pics at the styling my ponchos line and agree that I am WOWed by #4. Such a stunning play of line and varied color there. I also really like the spring vibe of 1 and the blue sneaks in #6. Super inspiration

I like how you layered the poncho with the drapey cardigan. I'm not as big of a fan layered with the white shirt. The shirt seems too crisp paired with this soft piece. How about layering the poncho over a dress, or a knit and jean column of color look?

@Lisa: Thanks! I can't quite get the proportions right with the poncho and dress. In my mind, I thought it would work but when I tried it, it looked off. I will have to keep working on that!
