Hi Ladies,

Tonight was our end of Fashion Week event, which was the Gala Fashion Parade. I did the very brief welcome and intro to the parade and had other duties during the parade.

The night went like a dream. It was seamless, ran to schedule and we sold out!

I stress a bit about events like this and tend to dress in a slightly more conservative manner. Where I live is quite conservative and in these situations I do like to "fit in". And our weather has turned cold again so my dress option was out of the question:(.

I was happy with my outfit and I feel that it looked better on person than in the pics?! I was going for elegant/classic with a hint of trend (the crossover top).

I wore black jacquard slim leg pants, white crossover blouse and black boyfriend jacket. I did try a shorter black jacket but both DH and I felt this one worked better. I have a bit of a high heeled shoe wardrobe hole so wore my old open toe black patent wedges (not edgy enough). I forgot how uncomfortable my feet get in these (pressure on the ball of my foot) so they are already in the donate pile;). I added a new pairn of earrings in coral and silver for a gentle touch of colour.
