WIW Falalala festive reds ETA my Ho Ho Holiday Sweater

Last week almost sunk even our most experienced staff and thinking about another full week of adorable but over excited, over stimulated and over tired children felt daunting.
The weather goddesses smiled upon us and gave us a snow day on Monday. Phew!
My attire for Tuesday and today had a little more spunk. Both days were crafting days and there would be no denying the holiday spirit. The reds, pinks and jewels and bells all made me ridiculously happy.
#1 knit moto jacket with Kate Spade scarf, oh and my most fun pair of snow boots
#2 Bakelite, Henri Bendel, antique storyteller bracelets
#3 polar bear sweater (for some reason I think he needs to be holding a bottle of coca-cola), Old Navy pants and Sam Edelman pewter boots
#4 Sam Shaw twig tourmaline ring and el cheapo jingle bells. Missing is the leopard trimmed Santa hat I wore for playground duty.

2 more days and it will be Survival of the Fittest, but probably not the Finest in Fashion. Tomorrow is Seasonal Sweater Day. Friday is Pajama Day. I will join in the fun of our school spirit days, add a big smile and pray for stamina. At least on Friday I will be appropriately dressed for an early bedtime!

The red pants in the second outfit are sublime. And you manage to look perfectly poised and elegant in a Xmas sweater. NICE.

I am loving those snow boots ...seriously FAB.
Even though this is arguably the most hectic and exciting week for the kids you look amazing ,cool, calm , festive and anything but frazzled!
I remember my own children having pajama day ....they loved it !

Thank you Angie! The boots are 4 years old. I bought them before I knew about bookending and before my hair was light colored. Guess they were meant to be.
Taylor, the kids do love pajama day! I think the parents do, too.....no hassles getting dressed before the bus arrives!
Thanks, Torontogirl.....we are all heading towards the finish line. Some will skid in sideways, but we will all make it across and feel victorious!

Ah, those awful pre-Chisrmas school days. And you have an age of student that forces that you walk a perilous path when it comes to Santa.
At least they are usually very subdued when they return in January. You look wonderful be the children must love your festive outfits.

Hahaha, Jussie! We are all working so hard to keep the lid on. November had lots of interruptions, but then we were faced with 4 full 5 day weeks of school with Holiday Break at the finish. I was soooo grateful for our snow day!! One. More. Day. Tomorrow!

Elizabeth P, yup, I admit it! I get to step outside of my usual style and try on costumes to an adoring crowd. It is a pretty safe move.

Here it is. My final festive red outfit for the 2018 school year. Today was Seasonal Sweater Day. It began with a staff breakfast and fashion parade around the cafeteria. What a hoot!
In the classroom, my kids said that with my gray hair and glasses I looked like Mrs. Claus. They had already discovered their elf names and decided that today we could all “be extra good” and “help Santa”. They were so cute and most of them stayed on the Nice List all day.

So, here you go! Have a Merry little giggle!

Mainlady - you are the coolest teacher ever! No wonder your kids love you sooo much - this last outfit is breathtakingly good.

I also love the lead up outfits, and those snow boots, make me want to live in a snowy climate just for the amazing clothing opportunities.

Thank you Bijou. It’s true, a winter climate provides lots of clothing opportunities! I decided that if I am going to have to wear boots , they might as well be cute ones!
Elizabeth P, December has been one long haul. The School Spirit Days have been fun and given us all a lift. To see those little smiling faces! I handed down a gingerbread house themed cardigan and a green and white striped elf dress to my DIL, who is also a teacher. She looked ADORABLE! Soon I will pass along the Santa sweater, but she is too young to really pull off the Mrs. Claus look.
Hahaha thank you Angie! I ended the day by reading Jolly Old Santa Claus to the entire first grade. It was a lot of fun!

And I am sooooo happy to say that now Pajama Day is in the books and I am on VACATION!
