WIW: Earthquake edition

As requested!

The earthquake was big enough to knock stuff over in our house and send me and Kona scrambling. It didn't do a whole lot of real damage, but it was scary - we have small quakes often, and big ones far away, but this was close and big. Fortunately, it was deep - otherwise yikes!

I was about to leave for climbing when it happened, and had just taken my WIW. ON tuxedo sweatpants, Madewell "SALUT" tee, F21 ribbed cardigan, Ugg Chelsea boots. Comfy casual for going to the gym and then taking DS to dentist and his haircut. And survival.

i've really enjoyed your uwp wiws this week. i think many can be zhuzhed up for the office while still preserving the fantasy--why do i keep thinking of the chanel no. 5 commercial?

I could actually wear this on my weekend shift with a change of tee to something less casual. It's been good to have a week of experimenting in my closet for sure!

I was in Seattle for the last big earthquake. The aftermath was surreal. Glad you are ok.

Glad you weren't too badly impacted by the quake! That must be a strange thing to live with. But I do love your outfit. Comfy and casual yet up a notch from the norm. That shape of cardigan is great on you.

Wow Una just glad you are okay. I've only experienced one quake it was incredibly scary. Well this is the most elegant gym knock around outfit ever. I could only dream of looking that good. I will clearly be relegated to the "slumps" survivalist section!

I thought of you when they had a clip of the quake on the news. Glad you're okay. I grew up in the SF Bay Area but never felt one until I moved away. A few years ago we had a "swarm" of thousands of small ones. They were only scary in that we wondered if it meant we were about to have a big one. Not so far...

So cozy fab! I thought about you when I heard about the quake -- I lived through a couple that were quite close and violent when I was in LA years ago. It is such a disorienting thing -- to have the earth moving beneath you. Glad you're OK. The ON pants look terrific on you!

PERFECT for an earthquake! I was a little concerned you were in the shoes that you can't run in. (I used to attend earthquake preparedness seminars held for downtown employers, and I think it had an infuence on my work wardrobe.)

Glad to know you're OK. We don't get big earthquakes here on the east coast, but we've had a little shimmy about once every decade or so. Those tuxedo sweatpants are fab.
