Getting in the wears of these crops before we leave for TX in a couple of weeks. I wanted to try them with a graphic tee to play up a more casual style, and was happy to see how well a favorite band’s tee goes with the pants. The hooded blazer is a total workhorse, and I’m also enjoying these Zara booties with crops. I considered a few bags before the McQueen jumped out at me as the perfect choice. My fordite ring also has just the right colors for this!

Comments and suggestions welcome as always (and no I didn’t iron the pants, oh well! LOL)

FANTASTIC! I've put mine away for the season now - will be looking forward to wearing them again in the Spring. What size did you get in the blazer- it's sitting in my shopping cart right now - haven't decided ifI will buy it yet, but it popped up in an email "reminder" yesterday. Will an M be ok for me?

Lisa, I got the jacket in a M — it’s a little narrow, and the sleeves are not generous, but it stretched so I stuck with the size I got. I can wear it over tees and thin tops but If I wanted to layer over a sweater I would have probably sized up. Hope that helps!

This is a fabulous styling of the cinnamon crops! The t-shirt really makes the outfit and it looks perfect with the fantastic bag. I love all the components of the outfit - also the cool hooded jacket and the ZARA boots. And all work so well together and suits your style perfectly.
Are the boots comfy? They look like the ideal height of the heel for me - 6 cm.

How does the pant length work when you sit down?

Lisa, the pants ride up a bit when I sit down, of course, but I find it doesn’t bother me much when I wear boots like these with dark trouser socks underneath. Otherwise I need to make sure I shaved my legs.

Honestly, the thing that I do struggle with a little on these and other higher-waisted pants is how bulky that extra fabric can feel (and look) around the tummy and waist when seated. With my squat little torso, I feel like it makes me look really thick, which is not SO bad if I’m wearing a jacket, but I feel a little self-conscious when I take the jacket off. Is that weird? Short torso people problems.

Oh, and this bag is like a beacon to people who know good style. I had a couple of comments from well-dressed women admiring it, and one asked who made it. It’s the perfect light-colored bag for me — just enough accented black to make it work seamlessly with my overall usual dark looks. It’s a little heavy, so I need to remember to carry it in my hand, not on my shoulder too much.
