WIW: Early December casual

A few outfits with skinnies. You can't see the plaid on plaid very well in the picture but DH noticed it right away and said that it's too much plaid! Oh well! It's wet and rainy here so it's skinnies and boots. Thanks for looking!

Such cool outfits! I actually love the plaid on plaid. It's so subtle. My husband would react the same way, though. ("Um, did you mean to wear those pants and shirt together?") And I just adore the sneakers. They look like the same style as my beloved pewter ones, which are so fun to wear.

Your DH and mine must be in cahoots. I didn't even try plaid on plaid and mine was saying, "Too much plaid" to a shirt I wore the other day. And he is the one who wears a plaid shirt almost every day!!!

You look great in both these outfits. Fun sweater.

I don't think that's too much plaid either! I really like the second one too, with the cowl neck and banded bottom giving the simple sweater a little extra something.

I don't think it is too much plaid either, but isn't it funny how their seems to be a strong male reaction against plaid. Do they think it is their territory exclusively? Anyway you look terrific.

I always try those type of banded tunics that you have on in your other outfit. I always have to pass but they sure look good on you!

@Firecracker: Thank you. I love the Paul Greens and am so glad that I ended up getting them. I had a hard time styling them at first but now (that they are broken in) I find myself reaching for them over and over. I love your metallic pair too!

@Suz: Lol! DH actually likes the plaid--just not plaid on plaid. He was even thinking of adding a plaid flannel to his weekend capsule!

@Aubergine: Thank you! I have this sweater in a couple of colorways. It’s from Marshall’s--a junior brand I’ve never heard of and very inexpensive. It has just enough detail to make it interesting but not fussy!

@AJ: Thank you. I am so not a pattern mixer but thank you for the compliment. I’m surprised the banded tunics don’t work on you. They hide a multitude of sins and are very comfy!

@Elizabeth: Yes! They are the same pants as yours--only mine are regular not tall. I love them and think they are better for me than the Kut plaid pants that Suz, Aida and Sveta have. Definitely more my style.

@Reneeb: Thank you! It has taken me awhile but I am realizing that lighter colors can be my friend!

@Viva: It's Cherokee from Target. Boy's Department size XL. It was on super clearance for $4! Might be too short in the body for you though. I'm only 5'3.
