I haven't been posting much lately (honestly I'm trying not to shop right now and am trying not to tempt myself too much with too much YLF time), but have been snapping WIW photos since it's finally my favorite season, autumn. Yay for being able to wear layers again without dying! This batch of outfits features a bunch of hand knits and a significant amount of lace as well.

-2: floral crazy pants and a slightly pajama-esque blouse.
-5: There was a discussion on the forum about intentionally distressed sweaters, which made me want to wear my handknit linen matrix sweater, which has intentionally dropped stitches and holes. Paired with faded raw hem black jeans and my olive jacket.
-7: The first wearing of this new, super 90s-esque Vince plaid wrap dress. I went full on 90s with the stompy black moto boots.
a handknit striped top, jeans, and oxfords. Simple but effective. I really like the fit of this top on me and am actually considering making another in plain black.
-11: another handknit top, with lace detail, layered over a lace bralette and worn with culottes. This is unfortunately the last wearing ever of these linen culottes as they have become so worn out as to be unwearable.
printed pants, black drapey tank, and tomato linen/lace jacket.
-15: another handknit lace sweater. I tried pairing it with a grey layer underneath for a lower contrast look (usually I pair it with a black or white tank underneath). I'm not sure the shape of the grey tank is 100% perfect here but I like that you can't see the outline of the tank so clearly underneath the way you can with the black or white.
-18: Matrix sweater again, this time with my black denim skirt and moto boots.
This was actually a super casual outfit for a day when we had to do some dirty work in lab, but I rather liked how it came out. These are my very ancient Gap BF jeans (remember when we all had these?) - they don't fit as loosely as they used to but are still v comfy.
-21: a tunic/dress with fun lace bell sleeves. These sleeves are fun to wear but as I found out super impractical for doing lab work! (Not really a dealbreaker, though, as I just wore a hoodie over it, which contained the sleeves nicely, while I was at the bench).
