I had a couple of opportunities to dress up a little bit this weekend. The weather has been pretty cold (and rainy today as well) for May so it was a perfect opportunity to wear my trench coat for Bijou's forum challenge.

1-2: worn for our 6th anniversary dinner on Saturday night. Sorry the photos are so dark - it was already dark out when I took them and the overhead lighting by the mirror is not super bright. I wore a handknit olive and navy striped top with my pinstripe ruffle wrap skirt, turquoise clutch, and pointy flat black booties. I didn't get a photo with my trench coat on but I'm holding it in these photos, which sort of counts for the challenge, right?

3-5: worn for Mother's Day brunch with my MIL and other family members. Decided to go for something brighter and more springy despite the cold and rainy weather, so I chose my tomato red trumpet skirt (which I've been wearing all the time because it looks good tucked unlike many of my other skirts) with my cherry blossom blouse and the same booties, trench, and clutch from the previous outfit. I did manage to get a couple shots with the trench this time around.
