I'm 46 years old, but an invitation to dinner with some of my husband's senior colleagues had me a bit stressed about what to wear for dinner "with the adults." Here are a few "grownup" outfits from the past two weeks:

1 - Dinner with the adults - olive trousers, grey pullover (new this spring), "anthracite" shooties, and my Granny's jade pedant. Sedate, adult, but hopefully not too much of a snoozefest.

2 - Drinks with the same adults + some junior colleagues at the local wine bar: boyfriend jeans, black lacy tank/shell, maroon ponte drapey blazer/cardigan hybrid, ancient black Dansko sandals, earrings bought in Corinth (Greece) on my honeymoon.

3 - Lecture at the OKC MOA - green/brown floral wrap dress, acid green silk cardigan, knee high brown riding boots, and a pair of Peruvian opal earrings. Was pleased to see that most of my fellow attendees were also dressed as adults, instead of the booty shorts and flip flops I was expecting.

Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions welcome.
