WIW: dressed for comfort

I'm going straight to the airport from work this afternoon, so I'm dressed for a 6 hour plane ride. Tried layering my oversized cream cashmere sweater over my flannel shirt. And I'm wearing booties because I'm going somewhere where there is NO SNOW on the ground! I'm also bringing my bootcuts!

Uniqlo sweater, Target shirt, CoH avedon jeggings, Portlandia booties

Yes, Rae, I'm going to CA. For 3 days, and we have a list of wedding things to do a mile long. Not going to be a very relaxing trip, I'm afraid. But at least the weather will be nice (although it's that weird desert 40 at night, 80 at noon thing that's actually really hard to pack for)! I packed my bootcuts and a silk maxi skirt - did not have the motivation to wax my legs, so sadly no bare legs but it will still be nice.

I live in the desert so I know exactly what you're talking about. I generally dress for the warmest part of the day since it usually starts warming up as soon as the sun comes up. I like your layered look and think it will work well for the plane as you can always take off the sweater if you get warm.
