WIW: dress challenge day 2 - YouLookFab Forum

I'm posting these now since I have the time.

The first dress is one of my favorite dresses that I've worn many different ways. Here are 3 I tried on today:

1) I tied my black button down over it.

2) Here it is with that Nordstrom junior size jacket from a few months back. I have mixed feelings about this jacket in general but hubby loves it so I try to find times to wear it.

3) And here I belted a cardigan over it. I have a couple of other cardigans that work for this look with this dress. I really want to scoot that belt up an inch or two... blasted long waist.

I have also worn this dress with my black leather jacket, black knit motorcycle jacket, denim jacket, and with my chambray button down tied at the waist. And I like it just fine by itself as well. It has elbow-length sleeves, just FYI.

4) This dress is harder for my creativity. It's a sweater dress I picked up at Target last year. It's SO short that it's almost a tunic. So I wear it with leggings or skinny/straight jeans.

What do you think?

Oh, I love the print of the first dress--it looks good (and you do too) no matter how you style it! And I'd love to see the second dress with leggings.

I like the styling of the first dress in the first picture. The jacket has just the right look and length I think. The red is a bit too boxy...it is fine, don't get me wrong, but between the 2 I prefer the first. I am not cardi lover so I have to skip the third.

I think you did fine with the last one, but I might prefer dark leggings under, or a pop of color since it is black

I like #1 - 3 equally, and the sweater dress would look good with leggings or cigarette pants

You are so clever with your styling - I like both dresses but particularly like the first and last photos - I think I have a black and white thing going on.

I like the first and last as the black and white is quite striking. In 3 I hear what you say about the belt but I wonder if a cardigan that was shorter by a few inches might look like?
