WIW: Dreaming of spring

I took today and tomorrow off and had big plans but I feel rotten with a cold. I decided to play in my closet a moment before getting back to cleaning the house. We got about 12cm of snow yesterday, so this bare ankle look and shoes in the house is entirely a fabrication!

I have bought several pairs of BF jeans in the last little while because I think that will be a major component of my summer wardrobe. I intend to cut some of them of to make cropped BFs, and this pair I sized down and got in a lighter wash for a skinnier look.

Booties: Sam Edelman Petty

Oooh, looks great! I even like the ever-so-slightly tousled hair -- very "relaxed casual". I think those new slim light wash BF's will work very well in your Spring/Summer wardrobe. Rollie has got the right idea -- napping is great. Hope that you get some rest today as well. Feel better!

I SOOO get you on playing in your closet instead of cleaning the house (no comparison which is more fun, right? ) Last night while my poor huuby was shoveling 20cm of fresh snow from our driveway I also had fun in my closet planning my travel wardrobe for a tropical vacation next week.
Ok, I digress...love this outfit and would wear it in a heartbeat. Somehow it feels a bit as a departur from your usual style, no? Maybe because of the light top and refined footwear which is not what you wear usually...how did you feel in it?

It does feel different from what I am used to wearing, softer. But I think that is a good stretch for me for spring.

I am going to curl up with a book and a pot of tea. I was trying to figure out why I felt so shattered today but I forgot I walked yesterday to get William from daycare in knee high drifts and had to carry him home on my back because the snow was over his waist and he just cried and cried and couldn't walk. He's a 40lb sack of potatoes on my back, plus I had to shovel the driveway twice yesterday because the snow blew all back in --- I am so ready for Spring!!

I really REALLY like this and now need to try it with my own python Petty's. Love the white bookending. And I wanna curl up with Rollie - he looks pretty darned comfortable!

When it's freezing outside and you're not feeling so good, you might as well play in your closet and put together some winners for spring. Your bf's look great with this sweater and booties. Rollie bookends the sweater and the couch, lol.

Sometimes I wish I could accessorize with my cats. Rollie would look good draped over your shoulder in this outfit with his creamy fluffiness.
