WIW: Do these riding boots work?

I think with the long sweater and the high boots the proportions are off. Whenever I wear high boots, I keep the tiops shorter. With longer tops I go for booties instead and that keeps the proportions looking good.

I agree with the others. It's the boots and long cardigan together. The boots look like they fit well to your leg.
This outfit as is may also work better with dark denim or black jeans to have less contrast between leg, boots and cardigan.

To my eye it looks like the boots may be a little too tall. Maybe it's the angle of the photo, but it looks like they come up beyond the bottom of your knee but not over the knee, which seems an odd height to me.

The boots are too long in the shaft... Or the wearer is too short in the shin :))) thanks for the advice. I will try the boots with a shorter top or keep the bottoms darker maybe. You live and learn!
