Sunday was a double date of sorts. My brother and his girlfriend broke up about three weeks ago, and he is feeling a little down with Valentine's Day coming. Adam has a cousin who is also currently single, so we decided to introduce the two of them. Maybe brighten both of their Valentine's Days.
We decided to meet at the Olive Garden. Everyone likes Italian, and it's a good go-to place. We all decided "nice casual" would be appropriate for attire.
Since some people are out this weekend for Valentine's Day dinner, I decided to create a semi-Valentine's Day look. I wore these black leggings with red hearts and white hearts, with a dark pink turtleneck (the official color is "Raspberry Sorbet"). Since snow was still an issue in places, I wore these black lace up ankle boots, that I don't wear often at all. Lace up boots aren't really my style, but I like these, as they are more fashionable than snow boots but also practical for snow, as they are good for traction (despite the heel) with their big lug treads. The heel is 4 1/2 inches, tied for the highest heels I have ever worn with the glitter red pumps (in another post) that I got for my Valentine's Day outfit. I do own a number of 4" heels, though, and like that height. The platform is 1 1/2 inches.
