WIW: Denim Pencil Skirts

Yesterday Angie posted about denim pencil skirts being a fringe trend. I purchased two earlier this summer because I have been adding pencil skirts to my collection, and because I thought they would be the perfect mix of casual, but also dressed up enough to help me stand out as a professional in the setting where I work. I hope I continue to look approachable and warm, but also well put together. I wore one yesterday (1/2). What do you think?

I like both outfits on you.
Pencil denim skirts are very flattering and can be dressed up better than jeans, as your pictures show.

Like them both on you. And interestingly, I wouldn't have noticed it was a denim skirt from the pic alone. Very professional yet approachable indeed!

Both outfits look good. The first is quite classic looking especially with the cardigan, was that one of your style descriptors? Love the quilted pencil!

Aida, One of my style descriptors was Simple/classic. I couldn't decide between the two, so I picked simple and decided that classic could be included within my version of simple. (They are merged in my mind).

Then you've definitely hit the mark! I don't know that you can merge simple and classic though, for example I wear a lot of simple outfits but they are far from classic. The second outfit reads a bit less classic because even though the skirt is classic, the quilting makes it much trendier. But still simple. Perhaps merging simple and easy together and leaving classic as its own would work better?
