Hi Ladies,

I bought these at the Melbourne Meet Up with the assistance of LynD and Carolbee:).

I was specifically looking for faux leather leggings with ponte panels. We found these in Zara. The back of the leg is ponte, and the front is two panels with suede and faux leather.

This top is shorter than what we thought would work but in hindsight I was wearing a white blouse when I tried the pants on which I think now may have been too high contrast. The black top seems to work better and not require any more length?? Please let me know if I am wrong:) I do have longer black tops and a tunic I can wear instead of this.

I am wearing this today to travel to Melbourne. We visited Metalicus and had a lovely time trying things on. The tunic I was interested in was a bust. Lovely but not the fabric or fit I was wanting. Tried on the Plaza Dress in cobblestone (grey/blue)... Very tempted, but think I will be ordering the plaza top in cobblestone...it was gorgeous...and on sale.

#4 is a pic of Master 11 who asked if I could post his outfit. He is becoming very style aware and the red skinnies (my suggestion, apparently mum is not completely uncool lol) are his favourite at the moment. He would not pose with a sensible face!

This is the second wearing of the leggings and I love them. They remind me of our meet up which was such a lovely day.

This looks awesome! The leggings are great and the top is perfect. I don't think it looks too short; in fact I think much longer and you wouldn't get quite as good a textural effect from the leggings as they would be covered up.

Good to see that your son is keeping up the high standard! In a few years time, a sense of fashion will stand him in very good stead!

I have been looking forward to seeing your leggings in action Debprah, and I am so happy to see them styled at last!
Loving the shorter top here, and as Sharon said, we can see the lovely sheen and suede/pleather detail better.
Co-incidently I visited Metalicus just yesterday at the new Emporium, and was very taken with the Cobblestone colour you mention.
I tried on a sleeveless hi-low tunic top in that colour, and was tempted to buy to wear with my multi ponte leggings and a boxy jacket.
Where did you see this label on sale?

Not everything appears to be available on line. But at the moment it looks like there is an extra 30% of already reduced items (I think they are listed at the final price).

Okay Deborah is it okay if I totally gush!! I LOVE TIHS!! You just look so cool in those leggings and I love the mixed media - I think it's interesting and flattering and I love adding a lot of texture to black outfits. I think the tunic is brilliant. It covers the crotch point (which I feel ils a personal key) but has that lovely shark bite drape giving you a long leg line. Plus the addition of that short drape, is it cardi? it mimics the hem of the tunic - not tight but graceful and the layering is so visually awesome. Stunning!! Love the red lips and nails and hair, earrings everything is so awesome!! I have leather leggings which I love but struggle to find the right tops. Honestly I need to get on a plane down to you so you can style me. I have to play in my closet with your photo in mind this weekend. PS M11 - wow!! Look how the tee picks up the red pants and the white caps on the sneaker toes with the black echo the tee. Wow, wow, wow, he definitely has his mama's awesome sartorial style!! kudos!!

I'm loving the texture mix that your leggings provide. The top covers enough so that it doesn't look too short. Wonderful outfit!
Master 11 is already book-ending! The Cons and sweatshirt keep the red jeans looking stylish.

Oh wow, those are fantastic and they make me wish for some!

Your son is so cute. My stepsons wouldn't arrange their faces normally for a photo until about 3 years ago. They're 23 and nearly 26.

Go Deborah!!! Love how you styled these, and the way the leggings continue onto the boots is fab, gives you a longer leg line. So glad you are happy with them (would hate it if you thought Lyn and I had not given you good advice lol). Would love to see these with the ink blue asymmetrical tunic from yesterday (?).

These are fantastic on you. Love how you have styled them with the top. I think it's absolutely the right length. Of course you could wear a longer one if you wanted, but I actually prefer this length. I like the rendition with the cardigan, also.

I just love many of Metalicus's offerings and wish we had this store in North America. What I like is the way that they span the "modern classic" to "avant-garde" spectrum quite effortlessly and can be mixed and matched for varied effects. Talk about a brilliant capsule wardrobe concept.

Master 11 has his mother's amazing style! He looks so fab!

The Zara leggings are a gem! Love it with the sweater! I first thought leggings are all shiny leather, but how cool to be matte suede toward the sides (and ponte on back!!!)---so flattering (and comfy)!!! Think, the half and half textured front is so clever!! That seam on front along the leg lengthen the legs and the suede keeps the shine appart from the curvy bits(not that you have any, just thinking them on my own body!)
