WIW: De-Bomshelling with a tee

Good morning lovely ladies

Today's outfit started with my cobalt pencil skirt, to which I added my voluminous silk-blend tee with a white background and shades of black, green, blue and turquoise. I love that the tee doesn't have the exact shade of the skirt in it.

For footwear I went with my bone/silver sandals and then added my white clutch for my handbag. Jewelry is my silver wedding ring and chrome/white bangle watch.

I feel comfy, cool, stylish and appropriate for my day. Don't you love when an outfit can do all that?!

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

I flipped through each photo and thought nice (1), cool and comfy (2) and WOW (3) the clutch makes it super special (although I still have shoe envy for those sandals!)

I love how the silver strap seems to bookend with the grayish black of the tee. Great outfit!

The tee and pencil combo is fun and looks fabulous, especially on a day calling for easy breezy comfort. The enviable sandals and clutch especially keep it office appropriate.

I love the shoes! The cobalt skirt is divine and I adore the lighter aqua in the tee with the cobalt they play very nicely together. Fabulous proportions. I want to copy!

Fabulous outfit, Shannon. I just can't get over how fabulous those sandals have turned out to be for you. I am still waiting on my perfect white pair, alas. It will have to happen next year. They'll be a top priority.

Ceit - OH NO!!! Not this tee! I have a blue tee with a huge white flower on one side that is in the donation pile. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tee and will be holding on to it until it becomes a rag.

Have I mentioned I'm soooooooo back in love with my pencil skirts???

I also cannot believe how fabulous these sandals have turned out for my style. Although I've become a lover of a more refined shoe (as opposed to my previous love of chunky footwear), I still like a bit of "funk" or something different with my shoes. These fit that bill perfectly IMHO. The fact that they are off the scale in terms of comfort is a major bonus.

Oh I don't think I have seen that other one. I just saw you mention a blue and white tee with a flower on it in your donation pile

My goal this winter is to find a pencil skirt and a kilt-like skirt, partially because of seeing you, Rae, Natalie, and MaryK rocking theirs.

The tee in the donation pile is one I thrifted last year - the white flower is actually a giant applique and although it was fun last summer, I'm just not feeling it this year.

I think what I love about pencil skirts is you really can dress them up or down, ladylike or tough.

This combo is nothing short of fantastic and those shoes have turned out to be major players in your summer wardrobe. Werent these the ones you were worried you had settled for? Ha! Not a bit I say Super note that the colors in the top dont duplicate but compliment the skirt, i love mixing shades of blue and the t has that perfect fluid fit with the taper bottom. You are looking very fit I might add!

I like the outfit. I really *love* those shoes!

My only suggestion would be to try a long, silvery necklace with the outfit. I don't know why, but I expect that element to be there with this look. Then again, my expectations may be dated, so feel free to ignore this one if it doesn't appeal to you. You still look great.
