So I decided to try to repurpose some things in my wardrobe for more-casual nights out with the spouse. I have some things on order to try to gussy up my date night stuff, but since last night we were going to a local dance festival I thought I'd add in some things I don't normally use.
I'm sorry for the terrible quality of the pic & the rumpledness & shoelessness! This was taken at the end of the night when it occurred to me to show it to you all, because you have been so great lately & helped me find these jeans in the first place.
These are NYDJ Sylvia Stripes, cuffed up; the top is a linen blend sweater from eShakti that they no longer offer. I went for a column to try to mitigate the stumpifying effect of cuffed-up jeans on a short, round person.
When I had shoes on, they were flat beige oxfords only a shade darker than my skin, but they elongated the foot a bit because of their toes. They are Pour La Victoire and I've had them a few years -- they're old favorites that don't fit quite as well as they used to, but that's what my stretching kit is for!
The earrings are from etsy and have little cast animal skulls on them, and I styled my hair more "pixie" (normally it's more "edgy undercut").
Anyway, in general I think this was a cute look. Not nice enough for "nice" date nights but nice enough for more casual ones.
