I don't think this outfit is a 10! But here it is anyway!

I wore this to take the kids for some gaming fun and dinner later. My challenge was to wear flats with culottes and vest. The mid calf length of my culottes are hard to wear with flats without looking stumpy. And then my boyfriend vest was again a bit too long and the whole combo looked even more stumpy.

So finally I decided to go with this version. A shorter sequined vest (Mango) over a red tank top. I finished the outfit with the new Zara pointy toed flats. Do you think the pointy toes work well here to increase the leg line?

Should I repeat this oufit again? I didn't feel bad in this but I wasn't super happy either. Probably because the tank here needs a serious upgrade. Its a few years old. Oh well!

And bonus shot of what I tried on in F&F while strolling around after dinner :). Black boot cut jeans and Peach embellished sweater. What do you think? I can wait until September to buy of course

What a nice refined casual take on culottes. This version is not stumpy at all. You have a magpie gene don't you? I like the jeans and sweater - a bit hard to see though. I am not familiar with F & F, what does it stand for? I would repeat the culottes combo for sure.

Oh Neel I love your outfit!!! And yes the pointy toe flats are brilliant with this! I do like the outfit you tried on - preference for the pants. The sweater is really nice but somehow I prefer you in the brighter shades - but heck that's just me. You always look amazing. Good job to DS on photography!!

Neel, you couldn't look "stumpy" if you tried. But as it is, the pointy toed shoes do a great job of finishing the look. I like it! Were the culottes comfortable to wear?

Good heavens, I think you could have linked to probably three different posts of Angie's... at least! This is so great. In general I'm having trouble adjusting to flats with this type of look, but you have done it so well that I'm tempted to rethink. This is such a good visual for me to see it done right... I also think you nailed the sleevless top/sleeveless vest combo. And it all looks effortless. Wow.

No stumpiness visible at all, Neel! I like it as is --- it's easy and casual, but a bit festive. Pointy toes give nice polish to the look. I'd wear it a lot, because Mom on the Go looks deserve some comfort and flow!

Perhaps you are craving more structure in the look? If it still doesn't please you, despite our liking it, perhaps swapping out a woven tank for the drapey knit one? You could also substitute a more structured vest, saving this one for pairing with the bootcut trousers in your last pic.

I'm more inspired to try culottes - they hit your leg at just the right spot and don't look stumpy at all! I also like the colour repetition in the top and shoes.

You look casual but glamorous in this outfit: I hope you repeat it in the future if you feel good in it now. No stumpiness in sight!

I like you more in the bright pink of the top than the peach of the sweater you tried on, but it could just be lighting.

I really like this outfit, Neel! I like the color repetition in the flats, which really pulls everything together. I do think the pointy, low-vamped flats do a nice job of lengthening the leg line--along with your slender ankles. Super outfit. The black jeans and embellished sweater look great, too. I wouldn't have thought to wear peach and black, but they look good on you.
