Or, column of white, why didn’t I think of it myself? Perhaps so I can -- from now on -- think of a dear friend every time I wear this drapey top, jeans and my new white belt with pointy shoes. Which will be very, very often.

In the spirit of being as faithful to my inspiration as possible I tried the outfit with the long navy cardigan, but the style I have did not work with the jeans rolled up. However, the only other summer-friendly blue topper looked just right to my eye.

Yellowish glare comes from the afternoon sun reflecting off the wooden floorboards - an accidental hommage to the yellow lampshade which I consider Shannon's signature background

ETA: This cardigan is what I used to consider a desperate buy - 3 years ago I had to exchange an item but did not have the receipt, so I had to find something on the spot on that day. The only thing I liked in the entire department store was this cardigan and I actually bought it with the intention of passing it on. Yet, it became a much loved and worn piece. Who knew?

Thoughts, suggestions and comments welcome. Thanks for your time.
