Hey all
Yesterday I didn't manage a picture so I will have to capture it next time
but today is inspired by the GANT ad campaign featuring the preppy style ...
I wore a striped blue shirt
a white feminine blazer
dark wash jeans
and then after seeing the picture, I decided it needed something and added wrapped pearls
black patent loafers
After reading RAE and Shannon and Mo, I think this represents my rubic (still being defined) as
modern classic (structured) - blazer
masculine - the blue shirt
feminine - the feminine blazer + pearls
surprise - the zebra belt
Although preppy represents part of a style I like, in general it is too masculine for me. So I need preppy with a feminine twist, which is great to finally figure out, because I have always been attracted to preppy and then NOT at the same time. I hope I have made a version you all like and I admit, it feels like me
I have started rating my outfits for happiness level and this one is a 9 or 10. Later on I want to go back and try and get my 7-8 up to 10 with restyling.
My spring wardrobe is very limited and I have, for once, actually re-used elements, like this white blazer, the dark jeans in two outfits. I am not great at finding more than one way to use something so I am very pleased with this progress.
Anyway, any help appreciated.
