Today I've decided to copycat an inspiration pic that Mochi posted last week from Japanese Elle. I'm not really sure what I was thinking as this outfit contains light grey, white, and citron, which are all extremely underrepresented in my wardrobe (black is another story altogether). So, I had to improvise a bit and here is what I came up with.

The bottom part of the outfit was a cinch. Black slouchy shorts, grey tights, black lace up boots. For the top, I knew I wanted to wear my Gap academy blazer, which is the perfect colors. I knew I wanted to make the whole outfit more sophisticated, so I chose a simple button-down (white with tiny green pinstripes). For the scarf, I looped up my cream summer scarf - hopefully it does not look too unseasonal! Since I was going to work, I needed to have a big bag, so I chose my structured tooled leather black bag. Finally, skipped the arm candy as I don't have anything right for this look.

ETA: Outfit details - Gap Academy blazer, Theory shirt, BCBGeneration shorts, H&M tights, DV boots, H&M scarf, Maxx New York bag.
