I discovered these pants through a blogger Inge introduced to us in December. When I saw her post these fluid, origami like pants I knew I had to explore the designer that had crafted the beautiful Japanese art meets fabric gorgeousness!

Thanks to his end of season sale and a 10% coupon for newsletter sign up I was overjoyed to be able to afford them!

Worn with a polka dot J Crew popover and nude Anne Klein pointy heels (1inch maximum) and rose gold hoops.

The designer is Ronen Chen.

The blogger is Sheree M. from "Its not that deep"

I wish my pictures photographed like hers but despite the fading light I knew I wanted to post a wiw in them! These are a 10+ in my book and will find a lot of wear. I am leaning towards fluid cuts this winter. I tend to run "hot" and find this is the only way for me to be happy with my wiw's and stay relatively cool with indoor heating ( I know most have the opposite problem!)

ETA: The top is more fluid and roomy IRL. It looked fairly volume on volume IRL.

Those pants are really cool. I'm wondering what the shirt would look like half-tucked.

They look nice. I would like to see them with a short jacket or top, it would really show them off.

Sona, do you have a way to post the link? I'm looking for something like this for dance...at first I thought they were harem, which wouldn't do, but maybe these would.

How light is the material? Does it move and feel fluid or does it have some bulk?

Yes: Deb has the correct link. They run big (in the waistband). Definitely size down. I bought my regular size because I wanted more fluidity in the lower leg area.

They are fabulously elegant and fun pants, Sona, and you look beautiful in them! Wow.

Those are so pretty and dramatic and look great on you! I also think they'd look great with a bright-colored shoe, especially if it's pointy-toed like that so it can kind of peek out.

Yummy! These might word with some of your Indian fabrics for a "fusion" look, Sona. I had a pair of wrap-over pants in the early '90s. I called them my "flying squirrel" pants. Your fab look makes me miss them even more!

Outstanding pants, Sona!!! Oh, yes- do tell us about the fabric! I concur with the group-think with regards tucking or pairing with a more fitted top to let the pants take centre stage! Please post more WIW posts with these pants!

Oh my! Ronen Chen is one of the most well known Israeli designers and I thrift a lot of his older stuff (mostly drapey tops and dresses). It is so fun seeing these pants out of the usual context Sona - I love how you have styled them with pointy shoes and the button down, adding structure to all the drape!

The fabric is a gorgeous viscose/poly/elastane blend that feels wonderful against the skin.

Shevia: so cool to hear! I think I am going to have to start stalking his stuff!

Also the crotch is not dropped at all but sits at your normal crotch point.

I don't know why though while I want to try it with shorter more cropped tops ( and intend too) but that seems very 80's in my mind ( and I know whats old is new again) yet I kind of like the way Sheree has styled them- volume on volume?

Wow, these are so flattering! How is the length? They look like a style for the supertall, but you are making them look so dashing and elegant. I agree they have a bit of an East/west vibe. I used to wear my salwars this way sometimes....
