WIW Colours for Jussie

Saturday shopping outfit. Yesterday, Jussie posted a lovely post about new and/or favourite colour combinations - such an inspiring thread. It made me want to try new colours. This outfit is a new colour combo for me.

Fuchsia cardigan combined with a lemon knitted top and green/lemon/pink/black/brown knitted scarf by Missoni. Green sunnies by D&G. Wide leg black trousers, purple metallic oxfords and a brown bag. The bag is by ETRO and the pattern picks up some of the pink. It is actually a men’s cosmetic bag, but I wear it here as a handbag.

What do you guys think? Grateful for honest feedback, styling ideas, comments and whatever comes to mind.

Please don’t take this the wrong way ,it’s definitely not a criticism but that colour combo reminds me of sweets we used to have as kids called rhubarb and custards.So there we are ,you look good enough to eat!

Katerina that’s a beautiful and unusual combination. That Missoni scarf is brilliant. I actually might try the magenta and lemon myself as I have some garments that would work. You look so sharp as always!! Thanks for sharing.
I think the combination works so well on you because you have clear dramatic colouring yourself so it works with such a dramatic and clear colour palette. I found a similar look on Pinterest below, just for kicks.

What a lovely and unexpected colour combination! This looks beautiful on you. I love your little mini Etro bag, would never have guessed that it was a men's cosmetic bag.

Ok- went out to dinner tonight as it’s mothers day here. I tried your combination- it made a fun little outfit. I didn’t use a scarf but I echoed the magenta in lip colour.
It suits your colouring MUCH better but I still really enjoyed wearing this :).

Lovely color combo! Gorgeous pants, and I'm especially liking how your sunnies pick up on the touches of green. And this a wonderful example of how to tweak these shades to suit ourselves: Katerina your colors are dramatic and extra saturated which is perfectly suited to your high contrast coloring, and Jussie yours are a little softer and just a bit muted which suits your coloring.

Your analysis is brilliant, Jussie’s colours in this outfit are more gentle and she looks beautiful in them. I, on the other hand, need bolder colours and contrasts. But how fun we all can use the same colour inspirations and make them our own!

Aida: so true. My yellow top is almost a buttery yellow, which thus far seems a little easier for me to wear. Previously I had a brighter yellow top but I actually replaced it with this one for that exact reason.
Yep Katerina sure can rock the intense colours! Fun :).

oooh....love this. The proportions -- of both the outfits and the colors, are terrific. I think the wide leg pants and the elegantly tied scarf give the outfit a "lady in Monte Carlo" sort of feeling. Well done!
