WIW : Colour Me Coral - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Fabbers,

Day off but had some meetings today. Our weather continues to run hot and cold and I am finding it challenging swinging between seasons. I feel I am ready for the warmer weather and keen to start enjoying my Spring/Summer wardrobe (as I type it has just started raining!). I don't think I have posted this top before. I bought it last summer and love the colour. It is a size 'small' but very oversized. It's almost too long and I may consider shortening it but for now I have semi tucked into my old (need to be replaced) straight leg pants with a jacket which kind of reigns the top in a bit.

I realise the pants look weird in #1 and are creasing in the wrong places but I did check and they seem fine IRL... still need a new pair tho

I think it's a very nice outfit. The coral top makes it happy and the black makes it classical. I think the pants are great, they look brand new and are very flattering.

What a great outfit. Top has beautiful draping and just the right amount of fullness. Styling so very much your own, but after seeing so many black and white WIW, the coral is unexpected, and might I also add wonderful on you. I will look forward to seeing this top with an otherwise all white ensemble as well at some time in the future.

Wow! This looks completely wonderful - I love the draping, and it doesn't seem too long to me. It does read orange on my monitor, but even with that, doesn't look halloweeny, but looks both very Deborah and very bright - perfect for the brightening of the seasons!

IKWYM about the weather. Two days ago it was 33 degrees. Today it was 20 something and raining. I am so glad I followed your example and hung all my clothes together.

And I am pretty pleased about that because I do think that you always look fantastic. I purchased the exact same top last year and was looking at it this morning thinking about how I might wear it !!!!!!!!! Is this weird ???

Seconding, thirding and fourthing the comments above, this colour is stunning on you. Especially with the bright lipstick.

I love it with the pants/blazer, the pants don't look like they need replacing at all. I'd love to see this with a white belt, just peeking out of the semi tuck, to kind of separate the colours, and perhaps white shoes/boots (once it's not raining) to tie in also and set off your hair beautifully.

Great transitional outfit Deborah! It's a tough call in the morning to get dressed when you can't predict exactly. This really fits the bill. At first I thought your trousers were ink blue (orange and blue) but now I see they're black. Maybe ink blue for the replacements? The half tuck really tames the flowy blouse. Nice!
