WIW: cold shoulder dress and castle tee

Hello everyone

I saw this dress in an advertisement last week and fell in love. I thought it was such a great dress for me with the cold shoulders. I do love a cold shoulder! I wore it to the Abfab movie at the weekend. The bag and shoes were from Germany and Amsterdam, bought on my recent cruise.

This graphic tee was quite the impulse buy. I think it was the castle print that attracted me...after seeing so many castles on the Rhine! I bought it from a local shop that sells to a much older clientele..mostly bright poly prints in looser styles. Did I make a mistake? Was I wearing vacation memory goggles? What do you think? It wasn't expensive. I'm wearing it with kmart jeans and my gold boots from Amsterdam.

I know that dress! I eyed it off at witchery too. I love the mesh/honeycomb texture. I actually ended up buying the midi skirt version in the same fabric, so we are style sisters Love it on you. You wear cold shoulder so well. I think the tee is a great find. And those gold boots are amazing. You look very stylish.

What a perfect outfit to wear to the Ab Fab movie, this is such a great dress. I also love the new top, it looks amazing with your gold boots and jeans. Both of these outfits say Spring to me. I am looking forward to the change in season.

Both of these are wonderful on you, and as Aida says, they illustrate the range of your style.

I have to tell you that one of my favourite wild cards ever was a photo print tee of the mountains in Banff where I had gone for a writing retreat. I can't even imagine how I bought it -- it was sold in a touristy store and like yours, was probably intended for a different type of tourist than I fancy myself! Nevertheless, it worked, and I wore the heck out of it for a two summers before it finally pilled too much to look good. Mine was similar to yours in that it included some greys and whites along with colours that flatter me (in my case these were blues and turquoises) and not coincidentally, my favourite outfits with this tee were almost identical to what you are wearing here. I paired it with white jeans or shorts, and pewter footwear (and sometimes belt).

It also worked quite well with a pair of grey shorts -- yours might work with grey bottoms, too.
