WIW: Cognac and Black

Spent the day looking for the new flooring. We have been living in chaos since the pipes froze and flooded part of our house.

I wanted to be very comfortable so I wore black slouch pants, black T shirt and cognac sweater. I always wear amber and today I wore an amber necklace that I bought at a thrift store a few years ago in Hamilton.

Black slouch pants: Billabong

Black T shirt: Jacob

Cognac Sweater: Sarah Pacini (at least 10 years old and one of my favourite pieces by her)

Sandals: Birks

Nail Polish: Brisbane Bronze by Opi (My fav)

I love wearing Amber jewelry too! I bat for team gold instead of silver, so this greatly limits my Amber options. Your necklace is lovely. I'm keen on this whole look. I've been pondering a cognac cardigan and this outfit is one more tick in the "do it" column.

Celia yes Jacob was Canadian. So sad they are gone. I bought lots of clothes from them. Simple but chic.

Traci it is hard to find amber with gold. I have one pair of earrings that are gold and amber. All my amber is silver. Or just amber.

My gosh your hair is beautiful! Such swingy volume - sigh. Anyways, love this casual but super-polished outfit, and how nice to see a colour combo that doesn't get enough action - I love amber too. You've reminded me to go pull out an amber stone necklace I have from the Dominican Republic.....

I swoon. This outfit is so chic and laid-back. You look great in it. I really like Sarah Pacini's designs too, and don't own anything by her. I admire the way you wear these colors.
Good luck with your new flooring. Sounds like an ordeal but perhaps also a fun adventure as you choose and install the new floor.

Meredith thank you. Everything will be back to normal in a month in our house. Lots of deep breathing going on around here. DH and I do yoga. Thankfully.

Shevia thank you. Cognac and copper have always been my favourite colours to wear.

Firecracker thank you. Another Sarah Pacini fan. I use to live near a boutique that carried her pieces. Now I have to wait until I go to Montreal. Probably a good thing. I am looking forward to changing the flooring in some of the rooms. I was never that fond of it. I have chosen earth tones. What a surprise!
