Thank you ladies! With this blouse, it was love at first sight. But I waited 15 whole days before buying it! I'm not sure why. Probably because full sleeves are useless for our long summer. And I thought "I like to wear my sweaters for winter".

But this winter, I've been experimenting with pretty blouses with open jackets & coats and quite like the look. It's still only mildly cold...so it's a nice look for me. Much better than a black/navy/grey sweater for sure!!! Plus if I walk into a heated building (like malls for example) I can simply remove the jacket/coat, rather than bake in my sweater!

oooh, I needed to see this. I've always loved cobalt -- and it's slightly deeper cousin, sapphire blue. I've pulled back from pairing it with black recently, afraid that it was a "lazy" combination. You see, in the 90's, I would just pair a jewel tone top with black trousers --- every. single. day.

Your outfit reminds me that the pairing is really elegant. Your top is in a distinctly fresh silhouette, and that makes it seem modern and new. And on top of that it's gorgeous!
