Happy Monday Ladies!
I have lately been enjoying wearing patterned shirts and blouses for our in-between weather. They don't require layering for interest and are comfy. too.
This one is in one of my favourite colours right now.
I really appreciate your comments/feedback, because the people I mostly see are not very fashion conscious and rarely say anything about my outfits.
D.H. only speaks up if he doesn't like something, (like my floral pants), and D.Ds are the same!

Oh, one of my consistent favorite colors too! I really like the unusual cut and gorgeous colors/pattern of that blouse - it's a great way to create a statement with one distinctive piece.

LOVE this! Lyn is this a Katie's blouse? The colour is beautiful and the shape and the way it falls is very feminine in a very modern way. I think this would be my favourite of your outfits to date.

The blouse is beautiful, but for me, the colour combination (blouse+trousers+flats) is a bit sad, a bit too dark. It could be broken and lightened up by a necklace or a belt, but I think it wouldn't agree with the draping on the blouse, so I'd probably wear it with solid colour trousers or a straight skirt with solid colour tights. But that's just me, I don't like dark outfits unless it's all black and it's the purpose

Lovely outfit, Lyn! Cobalt is definitely your color and I like the shape of the top with the skinnies. The others have given great suggestions for additions, but I also think it's lovely just as it is.

That's a great color for you, and I like the proportions of the outfit.
I do feel like there is a lot going on with the hem and sleeves already, so instead of the bracelet, I'd love to see you try earrings or a brooch to bring some attention back up to your gorgeous face. Bright lips would work, too.

The color combo looks really good. I find it hard to wear shirts cut like that at the bottom, but on you it looks fab. I think it works week because you're tall enough for it, and have slim hips. Perfectly paired with skinny jeans and flats!

You are so right; a top with pattern can do the talking! I have to continually remind myself of this (as I buy yet another solid top!) For summer especially this is important.

I like this on you a lot! The proportion with the skinnies is terrific. I agree that metallic shoes could also be fun. It would work with a cotton pencil skirt and sandals in warmer weather, too.

I love this top, the pleating detail is lovely, and the colours are great. I think it looks great with the skinnies. I could see this in winter too with your boots!

I've been wearing this color combo into our Chicago autumn, and I love it on you! The drape and proportions here are spot on --- very fashionable, but in a non-chalant way. Little details, like the bit of scrunch in your pants, kick this look up a notch.

I love the easy look of the shoes -- the pointy toes are fab. You could also bring in a bright color for a kick, if you wanted a more attention getting look. Perhaps red, burgundy (maybe in the fall), or bright yellow, in a bag, shoes, or bangle.

I know what you mean about living in a fashion-free environment. It does make it hard to chart a style course!

Beth Ann et al: I usually keep my outfits simple-(a personal preference) but sometimes it is because I am a shy person and I don't always want to be too obvious. Especially when I am often the dressiest-person at any given event. (Aussies are quite 'laid-back' in attitude and dressing!)
I will definitely consider brighter shoes and earrings next time I wear this blouse.

Lyn I tried that blouse on a while back and it did not look like that on me! It's was made for you:). And how right you are about Aussies being very laid back. You know YLF has really given me the confidence to just wear what I want , where and when I want. Don't ever worry about being the most dressy person at a function, it's just part of who you are
