WIW: Christmas Concert - YouLookFab Forum

I'm heading to my son's school in a little bit to attend his first band concert. He's 11 and he and just started playing the French Horn in the fall. Should be entertaining in any case. Out of everything I purchased this fall, my favourite is this snow leopard top by Joie. I seem to want to wear it everyday but I try to restrain myself. Paired it here with Rag and Bone jeans that have an interesting arrow shaped leather detail and a mix of waxed and plain black denim. They are cool, but I can't decide if they make my thighs look narrower or wider. Depends on the angle I think. Jimmy Choo slipper flats and my my trusty PS1 bag.

I'm attending one of my best friend's 40th birthday party tonight, and have yet to come up with an outfit for that. Will be browsing all the WIWs for some festive inspiration.

Love this! It's simple in terms of the number of pieces you're wearing, but not simple in how stunning it looks (if that makes any sense).

Elegant and simple, and perfect for the occasion. Horn player, eh? Such a beautiful instrument! Did you know that in colleges the biggest scholarships go to the horn and bassoon players? If only I had played the horn instead of the flute!

Shannon, I'm so intrigued by what you've said, and the fact that you have completely pinpointed the essence of my style. I am a super simple dresser. I do like interesting details, but I keep it fairly uncomplicated overall. But I do worry that I'm sometimes too simple, and that my everyday outfits are a bit on the boring side. That is what I've really been enjoying here at YLF, seeing how people combine pieces in new and interesting ways. Just have to implement it now.

Beth Ann, thank you for the info on the French Horn, I had no idea. I will share that with him tonight. The concert was lovely, quite amazing for sixty students that have only been playing since September.
