WiW: chinos and snakeish print top

A grey and rainy day here. Cooler again and I think my wardrobe is not fitted for cool and summer weather. Winter and autumn is fine, but cold spring and cool summer is harder. As well as summer wear. Anyway, here is what I'm wearing today

#1-2
- printed top, waist surrendering (Michael Kors)
- grey wool cardi
- pale lavender chinos(Marc by MJ)
- wedges (Fly London)
- green satchel (Orla Kiely)
- beige trench

ETA accessories:
- terracotta scarf
- pearl studs
- oversize watch

#3: I almost wore this scarf, but thought it might be too much pattern mix with top /scarf/ bag. Too much or ok?

I like this! The neutral tones give off a very stylish and elegant vibe but you still have an edge to the look. I like the scarf and don't think it's too much at all. And I love you bag!

Thanks Deborah! I love that bag too and I get so many nice comments. Unbelievable that I kept it in the closet for year! I was saving it for better times, but every day *is* better with this bag

I really like this, the trench/ scarf combo and the way the bag echos the colours in the scarf against the neutrals is lovely.

Thanks and how lovely, Diane! I was thinking of the print and thought it might be TMGO, but as you and Deborah has pointed out it is neutral, so some extra pattern and colour is not a bad choice

You look great! I love the bag - I'm all for wearing everything as much as possible, I'm definitely on Team Wear. I think the third picture with the patterned scarf looks awesome, I really like this little pattern mix on the neutral background of your outfit.

I like this a lot! The green scarf is great on you - the print on the top is not so clear on my monitor but it certainly works for me!

Really love all the neutrals together. They look so pretty on you. I do not think that scarf would be too much at all.

Though, I actually think the neutral choices reflects the last few weeks of feeling a bit down and uninspired.

I like how you added the scarf. We get cold Springs and cool Summers. This is just the right look. I add lots of colour and white too.

You did a great job! The colors are all very springy, but you still look warm and toasty. I had not bought any light-colored "warmies" before YLF, but they are so hand. I actually like the green scarf in pic 3!

I LOVE this. You really do know how to do Eurochic to the Nth degree! I love the way there's always an edge to your looks even when most of the pieces are quite classic, as here. I love the last one, in particular, but all are terrific.

By the way I really sympathize about the weather. I find dressing for cool summers to be the most perplexing too. And spring. I had a big problem with spring this year as you may remember.

Anyway - you seem to be doing great here!

I totally sympathize with you on dressing for cool spring/summer weather, but goodness you look super! I LOVE your layering, it is always so awesome. I think both scarf options work perfectly, definitely not too much mixing. On those "down and uninspired" days, an extra dose of color and print can really work wonders. Don't let that weather boss you around

Fab! Dressing for cool summers is probably the hardest seasonal challenge IMHO (and I'm dealing with it now).

Thank you all again! The greatest thing about YLF is all the support and cheering for each individual. Even when not doing so well, i.e. shopping mistakes, dressing failures etc, there is always a very optimistic vibe going on
