Angie, ooooh! I never did see that blog post. It helps explain why the knot works -- and it does really work. Otherwise, this green dress is a sack on me.
Indigoprint, oooo! I think I have seen that knitting book? I love that you have knit some Outlander items
Irina and Kate, I felt both inspired and hysterical at the Prada shoes with the tractor. I grew up rural, with plenty of farming family and friends. I cannot imagine be-bopping around a farm in those Prada shoes lol!!! I guess if I was drowning in money and I could just toss the Prada shoes once the poop got to them... but yeah. haha! Though it still inspires me for some reason.
SarahD8, I very much want to try and find "everyday Poldark/Outlander." Like you said, it does all seem to get smooshed into preppy. And I'm not preppy, much as I love RL's tweed and sweater vests.
Roberta, thank you for the feedback and the chicken love!! This is our first time with chickens. I didn't handle the Wyandottes much as chicks; they were skittish. I regret not handling them more, as they are still skittish. Our Orpingtons and Barred Rock are super friendly and fun though. Actually, my Barred Rock could honestly be an indoor pet. She is super friendly and delightful.
Sisi, thank you! I didn't even notice how the jacket and chicken coordinated. But they do!
kkards, oh that's hilarious! We have quickly found out that our chickens are definitely um... chatty. Especially in the morning. We have an automated door, set to open with sunrise. But if they see our blinds open foe that, they sit in their coop and chatter up a storm. I'm sure our neighbors can hear it.
RunCarla, ooooh!!! I haven't seen this movie but oooomgosh! I love the costuming. It is exactly what I love: kind of 1940s country British lady.
Helena, what a fantastic idea re: pairing the sweater and my dress! I can't believe I didn't think of it myself. I will def try it and report back.
Jaime, Dee, Janet, BlueJay, Joy, thank you so dearly, my fab friends!! It's so lovely to know both my green dress and my chickens are such a hit
