Haven't had time to post outfits from the last couple of weeks, so here are a bunch all at once. We are definitely in the midst of cold spring weather, as per this morning's blog post. My strategy in this weather is mostly to start wearing slightly lighter items, particularly on top, such as blouses and vests rather than heavy pullovers and jackets. The lighter woven fabrics feel much breezier and spring-like to me than heavy woolens! My skirts are coming back into play as well, still with leggings and sometimes boots as it has still been pretty cold here.

1-3: starting with today's outfit as it is the best illustration of my cold spring strategy. Here I've worn a lightweight (but still long-sleeved) printed blouse (with a cami underneath for warmth), a long vest, and a skirt. Leggings, boots, and winter outerwear are still necessary in this weather. Switching back to woven items like this blouse instead of my heavy handknit pullovers means more prints, hooray, and more opportunity for pattern mixing like I'm doing with the blouse and skirt here.

5: outfit from a couple of weeks ago, still pretty cold here and not much spring happening (but the floral pullover is fun).

5-6: trying to inject some spring into a pretty cold day. I'm not 100% convinced I love the dark cuffs of the navy tee that are visible here - I thought it would be fun for contrast but am finding it a little jarring in the photos. I think next time I'd push the tee sleeves up under the jacket.

7-9: a pretty dark & wintry outfit although I did opt for the vest instead of a full on jacket.

10: This is one of my heavy handknit sweaters but paired with a denim skirt and leggings this time to be less wintry.

11: Again, opting for a vest (this one is handknit) instead of a cardigan/jacket.
