Last week ( 6/7-6/12) was unexpectedly busy socially - I got to go to eat out at restaurants for the first time since pandemic began, not once, but three times. I have been talking to my friends from different social groups about catching up and grabbing a bite for a while, and somehow last week worked for all of them.
First outfit (#1-#3) was worn for an outdoor dinner with a good friend from dance circles on Monday 6/7, when it was supper hot and humid. The second outfit (#4-#5) was a girl's evening out with ladies from my old lab, which ended up being indoors ( a bit nerve-wracking at first), as it was cool and rainy on Friday. The third outfit (#7) was worn on perfect weather Saturday (warm but not hot), for a long walk and outdoor dinner with several of my co-workers from the current job.

Some progress for my casual wardrobe refresh shown in the outfits:
1) Casual tops - I have always liked graphic tees in general, but did not like most of the specific ones I could find. This changed this summer -I found quite a few and wearing two of them in the first two outfits.
2) Jeans - I am currently working on relaxed straights, which are a new cut to me, and in the 2nd outfit you can see the first pair of that kind I got, I really like the light wash. They need hemming, as do the lizard coated jeans, and I still haven't found time to go to my tailor.
3) Sandals - the bone ones in #3 are new acquisition, bought when I realized my old bone gladiators are on their last breath. Having a different pair in the same color and splitting wears should prolong their life.
4) Crossbody bags -new category I realized needs refreshing. You can see two of the new acquisitions, pale blue and pewter.
5) Random find - oversized, padded shoulder black linen Frame vest in the first outfit. I love sleeveless top + vest combo in the summer, and this vest is perfect for hot weather.
