I have been looking all summer (since Angie's formula came out) for a suitable casual summer LBD, which must be woven, natural fibers, not too tight, and not too short. It seemed like everything I saw that fit those criteria turned out to be a muumuu. Well, I finally found one... hiding in the back of my closet. I wore this last year during the picture perfect challenge , but it was a little tight since I had gained a little weight last summer so it got shoved to the back of the closet and forgotten about until this past weekend. The extra pounds are gone this summer so it fits perfectly again, hooray! Plus the voluminous silhouette feels very of the moment to me even though the dress is several years old.

I wore it as is, with platform sandals and straw bag, for dinner last night, and then repeated it today with my new handknit top on top and my fabric sling bag (no hardware to snag the top!). This is a lot of volume on volume, and I'm not sure it's the world's most flattering look, but I liked it a lot nevertheless.

Gap dress, Naot sandals, Fossil straw bag, H&M fabric bag.
