WIW: Casual outfits in orange tiger stripes, gray and black

Three super casual outfits from this past week. #1-7 are yesterday's outfit. I walked to work so wore something comfortable for walking and that was bright enough that I was more likely to be noticed by psychotic L.A drivers who have the tendency to pay more attention to their phones than they do to their driving. A bright turquoise and orange tiger striped sweatshirt is just the foil for inattentive drivers!

#8-17 Is an outfit from last week. Definitely a fallback workhouse outfit perfect for puffy days. The drapey tunic and vest work great with simple leggings and knee boots all in gray and black. This is a go-to outfit when I don't want to really think much about what I'm going to wear.

#18-20 is a basic weekend "off-duty" outfit. Was headed out post-gym in no makeup and hair pulled back via a leopard headband for a mani/pedi and then off to the farmers market to stock up for the week.

Sorry for picture overload! Have been busy readjusting my morning schedule. So while I'm still carving out enough time to read lots on the forum in the morning, my time to comment and post is somewhat limited. I'm still enjoying everyone's posts enormously, even if you don't see me commenting on them!

Outfit #1:

How do you do it?? You never look OTT, yet you always have so much going on and it's not like all those tiny details are ordinary, oh no! Each one is fab. I am at awe at your ability to pile all that on, yet not be overshadowed by anything.

I think I have to do another run through the photos before, there are so many elements that I enjoyed. It might take too long to mention them all, but if one stands out, then the bag from 12/13. Or maybe the pendant from 15. I don't know. But I do know that you rock.

I was about to say that I feel like Ornella. So many fab details, but they all play so well together.

I love all three outfits, but stand outs for me are the pops of neon orange in #1, the drape of the vest and great bag in #2 and the cool silhouette and bag in #3. You have the best jewellery too! Love the ring in #1 and the earrings in #2

As a fellow accessorizer and jewelry lover, I must say: WOW! Where do you get these accessories? Are some of them One of a Kind? They're absolutely amazing!

That said, you look fab in all outfits! Surprisngly your "off duty" outfit is my favourite because it has that edgy/rough/casual cool.

I'm also noticing you combine turquoise and orange a lot. Is it right for me to assume it's a signature colour combo?

Joy , Thanks! The bag is actually made of neoprene (the same material as a wetsuit), which also makes it super comfortable to carry because it is really soft/squishy with no hardware that digs into one's shoulder. Also, when I wear it cross body it has a hint of bouncy "boing" to it when I walk, which is rather fun!

Gracie, thanks! I especially appreciate your compliment regarding my ears. Oddly enough, I've always considered my ears one of the features I like most about myselfl!

MsKatieKat thanks! I do have a tendency to gravitate towards one of a kind or rarer items, especially when it comes to jewelry or accessories. I hate the idea of looking like a cookie cutter version of everyone else. While I don't go out of my way to look this way I often find that the things I'm most excited about in my wardrobe are those rather unique and one of a kind elements.

And orange in all its incarnations (coral, vermillion, cantaloupe, peach, burnt, etc.) is definitely a signature color for me (it's my favorite color, by far) I don't actually have a lot of turquoise clothing (I do have a fair amount of vintage turquoise jewelry) --I do like the way they pair together, though, and have been experimenting with that particular combination of late (even just bought a couple of turquoise tees for layering. I've often found that depending on proportional color balance you can get away with combining orange with quite a lot of other colors and have it work well (these are the days where my training in color theory really comes in handy!)
