I haven't posted any outfits in ages, so here are a few things I've worn recently. New England suburban/rural style seems to be among the most casual anywhere, especially outside work environments, and I fit right in with these two outfits. As you probably know we (and other parts of the Northern Hemisphere) are been having one of the hottest, most humid summers on record. It's like the tropics.

1. Worn last week to a pizza/barbecue/pub place where we attend open mic night almost every week. I love talking to the musicians who play here. They range from a 12-year old who writes his own blues pieces to a guy who moved here from Scotland a few years ago and loves US folk music, to all kinds of others. My outfit was actually a bit too warm for the not-so-great AC, but we sat outside and listened through the open window and it was perfect on this particular night where the temps were more "normal". Loft blouse, INC jeans, gold sandals and a bit of gold jewelry. I had to lighten the photo to see the colors so it looks a little hazy.

2. Worn today for a few hours spent at the library. Blasting AC seems to be a thing of the past in most public spaces these days, so I was NOT cold. Levi's Bermudas, NYDJ sleeveless blouse, white huaraches. I got this blouse at my first ever NAS in 2016 and love it, and will probably buy a few more in this style eventually. NYDJ does not "get" petites very well - this is a petite size and I had to take in the shoulders and shorten the front hem :-), but now that I've done it once I can easily repeat it.

.3 .. ALVIN guarding my CALVIN (Klein) bag. I think he was hoping I'd pop him in the bag and take him to the library with me
