WIW Cashmere and Plaid - YouLookFab Forum

I realized I have not been keeping up with photographing my WIW, but I think that's because I'm mostly happy with what I've got and I've been a bit busy. I decided I'm starting of February with a WIW.
For me it was casual Friday and the temps were around 20 F. BRRRR.
I started with J Crew Matchsticks (upsized for BF slouch)
-Added an old tigereye studded belt I rarely wear (because the prongs holding in the stones pop out and poke me and I bleed) It is quite hefty and did a great job holding up the jeans
- I layered for warmth with BR lace tee under Uniqlo cashmere v neck semi tucked to show belt
- I popped on my LL Bean plaid wool jacket , my new gold watch (#2) I tried to scrunch sleeves throughout day (so I could see my beautiful watch) and Softwalk Dakota booties #3 (heaven - like walking on foam egg crates)
- I added DKNY tan parka and leopard print scarf (not photo'd). I was comfy, warm and felt professional enough at work all day.

Comments and suggestions always welcome - too western maybe?

Added review: So far I'm really pleased with the Uniqlo cashmere. I ordered 2 sweaters at $49 sale price each and this was the 1st wearing. No pilling, very soft, no itch, nice weight. I had a horrible experience with a similar Halogen sweater that pilled and the arm seams came apart the first wearing so this one is ahead of the game already. (of course Nordstrom took it back no questions asked - after wearing and without receipt - I heart them!) I'll be trying out my navy Uniqlo with my white jeans for my Angie tribute today.
Oh and did I mention my hairdresser has been on emergency leave for 3 weeks? I'm a total disaster, but will not let anyone else cut my hair so I have to wait it out until next week.

great outfit. love the blazer, (surprised it was ll bean, will have to revisit the brand for apparel) and the boots.
i also want to add a positive review for uniqlo. i own 2 wool blazers that were about $49 each, and i am really pleased with the look, fit and fabrics. one is over a year old, and it has hold up really well.

Those booties are perfect with your hair! You look wonderful in everything. Of course you want to scrunch sleeves to see that beautiful watch.

What a gorgeous, warm outfit! I love how the colors echo your own personal coloring. Those boots look divine and what a bonus of comfort. Thank you for the review on Uniqlo cashmere. I'm not sure cashmere is indicated in my climate, but I must admit I had been looking at their sweaters online.

Gorgeous look -- excellent modern slouch, soft cuddly cashmere with a belt that sounds like a part of the Spanish Inquisition, but looks great, great preppy jacket and amazing booties (really like these).

Exactly what Angie said. You look fab in all of your preppy glory! I love this. The jacket is just the perfect color--love it with the cognac and the dark blue denim. Good to hear your thumbs up for Uniqlo Cashmere. I would also love to hear how it goes after 5-6 wears, etc I'm always on the hunt for good cashmere without breaking the bank.

I LOVE my Uniqlo Heatteech tops. They're my go-to under layers for all winter.
