I came in too late to add to the conversations on wearing or not wearing black, but I have to admit that I still love it, and plan to keep on wearing it.
That said, I don't often do head-to-toe black, because it does seem a little harsh on me as I get older. In summer I find that showing some skin and wearing jewelry and accessories is enough to break it up, and in winter I like to add a bit of a lighter color so that it's not too oppressive.
Outfit #1 is a pair of jeans I got at Zara in Paris super cheap and I've been wearing them almost non-stop since. They're so comfortable and fun, and they go with all my black tops.
Here it's my Joie tunic sweater, and my Stuart Weitzman boots that I've also been wearing almost constantly.
#2: Another GOTG (grandma on the go) outfit- worn for errands, picking up grandkids at school, then for a casual dinner out. Equipment checked silk blouse, Vince sweater with leather elbow patches, Vince ponte legging jeans, the ever-present Stuart Weitzman boots.
