WIW camo and snakeskin

Just an outfit I wore to work - snakeskin print skirt and camo 3/4 sleeve button down sweater. I love this camo sweater. It's a nice, thick fabric that holds its shape and fits perfectly. The only difference between the two photos is the necklace in photo #2. I couldn't decide if I liked it better with or without the necklace - what do you think? Since I couldn't decide, I ended up not wearing the necklace to work - I have to wear a lanyard ID badge all day anyway.

And yes, I'm on the nude hose team - it's still chilly outside!

Wow I love that camo, reads more as an abstract floral to me. I like how your cami pulls out the black and it's a nice combo of pattern and texture with the skirt. Prefer it without the necklace because I don't see any connection between this particular necklace and the outfit.

You've got great legs Karie! And they look fab in this great outfit. Love the texture in the skirt and the pattern and colours in the cardigan. Another vote for no necklace. Let that great outfit shine on its own.

Angie, I LOVE your comment about pattern mixing and textures being jewelry. I never really thought about it that way, but it has been so true for me since joining YLF. I used to be a "big hoop earrings gal" even keeping an extra set in the car for those mornings when I forgot to put them on. Lately I have been focusing more on the outfit itself and going minimal on the jewelry (a bangle here, a statement necklace there). I do love outfit juxtapositions, so like Shannon and Beth Anne said, I was torn between letting the outfit stand on its own and the juxtaposition of (camo) strong and (necklace) feminine.
I have a few quotes/fashion mantras (all from YLF) taped to the inside of my closet door. Now I have another one to add: "Pattern mixing and textures can be jewelry." Perhaps I should tape it to the big hoop earrings
