I feel like I'm channeling a bit of Rae and Denise today! This is a bit of a departure for me, but it was fun and very comfy. The jeans are cotton/linen blend with no stretch, so much nicer for summer than regular stretch denim. I think I probably should have cuffed the jeans a bit higher, but to be honest my legs are covered in bug bites, which are both ugly and making waxing a bit difficult.

If you are channeling me, I am honored - especially since I have a VERY similar belt at home that I now see I must try and wear with my BF jeans and a nexx shirt ASAP. I love love love everything right down to the side pony! Sorry to hear about your legs... been there, done that. :T

Hi Diana - this outfit is just adorable and you look great! One thing I would suggest to make them look a little bit more "2012" as compared to "2009" is to roll the cuffs narrower. That's one of the main differences between the current look and the look from several years ago! LOVE your side ponytail!

Diana, I came straight from Angie's blog post to forum, in search for your BF thread. I love this look on you, with white button-down being a fab top choice and great belt too.

In fact, as a fellow pear, I find it very inspiring (great to see an example on particular body type!) and would be very, very tempted to try it myself following your lead. I'm on SYC (apart from the necessities and the wardrobe gaps I discover on the go) and if the way to transition BF jeans to Autumn shows up on forum I'll look into adding a pair to my collection.

AJ, these are the jeans (they're cheaper now than when I bought them!). They don't really fit like boyfriends on me, but I think they would on those less pear shaped. The inseam measurement is wrong though, they are actually 34" long. I took my larger of 2 normal sizes, because of the lack of stretch. The waist was super big though and I had to fiddle with it to eliminate my coin slot issues.

Marley, I hear you about the skinnier cuffs, and that is what I do with my gap SBFs. Unfortunately I can't really do that with these because it would be like 8 rolls. Right now these have a 34" inseam (a good 4-5 inches longer than my SBFs) and I haven't decided what to do about it yet. I don't think I want to crop them since I'd like to be able to wear them long. I might do a pegged skinny roll and wear them at the longer length like Denise does though.

Ornelia, I hope you try some BF jeans! I think we decided though that this pair is not a real BF fit on me. I do have the Gap Sexy BF jeans too, though, and they are super flattering. Here are my WIWs with them:
