Wiw: Brown on casual Friday

I think the pants fit well & the top is fluid on body & arms but Iess so on your ample bust. Gotta remember though a lot of folks who don't read style blogs haven't caught on to the oversized trend yet.

I think everything fits well...maybe what is throwing you off is the proportions. It's hard to tell, since the photos aren't straight-on, but are you kind of "cut in half" by the top and the jeans? If so, you'll want to try to make the lengths of those two pieces less equal. Maybe you could try unrolling the jeans or else doing a semituck with the top to see if that makes the outfit more pleasing to your eye.

As to the fit -- hard to say from the photos. It looks as if these are not current cuts. Photos sometimes tell a story we'd rather not hear, LOL. But also, the angle here makes it tricky to judge. And photos don't always tell the full truth, either. I usually try to put together the image from the photo, the one from the mirror, and my sense of how the outfit actually felt.

That brown is a fantastic color on you. I think if you semi-tucked (or faux-tucked) the sweater over a belt, you'd add a little pizzazz to the outfit and make it feel more current. And if you felt good wearing it, I imagine the camera angle is giving a different look than what you saw and felt. It looks like the photo was taken from above you; that tends to shorten one's overall look.
