WIW: bronze and black with jewellery

Haven’t done a WIW for a bit and today was a later start at the office. I’m still not feeling like shopping so having fun combining older things. I had bought these new earrings for fun recently for all of $12, a cheap way to try a tortoiseshell type trend.
Top: NZ made Kendall Watt merino with zips, 2016, 28th wear
Leggings: Stitch Ministry tan/black 2016, 31st wear
Cardigan: Stitch Ministry bronze, 2018, 71st wear
Boots: Beltrami Italian-made bronze via Styletread, 2018, 29th wear.
Necklace: mixed metals from 2011
Earrings: new from Lovisa
Bracelet: Karen Walker, a gift from a few years ago. Mixed metal watch not shown, from 2017.

Fun new earrings, and they work really well with the browns and black in your outfit. I also love the bronze booties with the browns of your leggings and cardigan.

Hey Jenni, I think the metallic cardigan is on trend too. Metallic knits were everywhere here last Winter. In NZ too? I don’t hear our northern hemisphere members talking about them, so maybe it’s just a “southern” trend. I got my share of bronze (3 seasons covered!) but am kind of regretting turning down a teal metallic jumper

Bronze and black is an awesome colour combination. I really like the cardigan and all the textures and shades of bronze, very rich and interesting. You look fab!
Is'nt it great to shop your closet and put together new and fun combinations? I think it is so much fun!

Even if you have not been doing much shopping, you are looking great. I love how all your accessories work well with the outfit. Bronze and black is a very luxe looking colour combination.

LOVE the bracelet with the rabbit face - that is so much fun! A definite "Happiness Factor" to quote Maine Lady.

Yes Brooklyn there has been plenty of metallic knitwear around for us in NZ for a few seasons now, I am definitely a sucker for it. I have bought a lighter summer bronze metallic cardigan earlier this year on sale for $20 that I haven’t worn yet, it will come out when our weather warms up. We had 2 beautiful spring days last weekend and I bared ankles for the first time- then on Monday, brrr, rain and cold again. I love your higher neck metallic bronze jumper.
And Bijou yes that bracelet is so cute, the rabbit face motif is a Karen Walker signature and that was a limited edition I was lucky to be given.
Oh and Nemosmom that’s a newish Revlon lipstick called Gold Goddess which I couldn’t resist!

I forgot to say...look at those wear counts! You’re getting awfully close to 30 on a few of those! I always do a little happy dance when one of my pieces crosses the threshold. Do you too?

Thank you everyone! Yes Jenn I do get happy reaching 30- but it doesn’t happen fast enough because I have too many clothes!
Trying some new combinations helps to get wears and makes it interesting.

Jenni, I’m late to this ... the booties & earrings are very nice. I’d like to have ‘em.
I think this color scheme is ultra flattering on you & this is one of your top 5 outfits for me. I have a pair of bronze oxfords I need to dig out. You & Brooklyn are reviving my interest in them.

Oh thank you Opaline! I typed myself as a “Spring” in the old 1980s Carole Jackson 4-season system and although these may be more thought of as an “Autumn” they were actually complementary to the Spring palette, because warm. I suspect that is why they suit me OK. Black is not one of my best colours but better now my hair is grey.
